When Disappointment Tries to Steal Your Day...

Image
Disappointment has a strange way of sneaking into our lives. Sometimes it only takes one moment to completely shift the direction of our day. Spring is here!! Hello friends and family, My name is Ngozi, and welcome to   GrowwithZika , my little corner of relatable thoughts and words. Honestly, they’re not even mine… they are God’s. Imagine this. You wake up at 5 a.m. to start your day with God. You begin to pray. You thank Him for a new day, for the past weeks, and for everything He has done, what he is doing, and what he will do. You ask Him to take charge of your day,  to replace negativity with positivity,  and to shower you with His blessings.  Your day feels peaceful already. Then you leave for school to write an exam you studied hard for, or you head to work. Everything seems normal until a message appears on your phone, a  message you’ve been waiting for.  Excited, you open it,  but it’s not what you expected.  Suddenly, your thoughts chang...

Starting Again (With God): Faith Over Fear in 2026

Happy New Year!   Can I still say that? Well… I just did.  Wishing you a truly beautiful and blessed year ahead. Sunset in Lyon Hello friends and family, My name is Ngozi, and welcome to GrowwithZika , my little corner of relatable thoughts and words. Honestly, they’re not even mine… they are God’s. Thank you so much for being here, for reading, and for sharing. My prayer is that as you journey with me in this space, you find clarity, peace, and growth. If I’m being honest, I almost didn’t come back.  I had so many doubts, worries, and fears about continuing this blog. But somehow… here I am. And I know it’s only by God’s grace . A verse that stayed with me is:  “ Finishing is better than starting .” ( Ecclesiastes 7:8a ) That hit me deeply because I’ve always struggled with starting things and not finishing them. So this year, I told God, “I don’t want to repeat that cycle anymore.” I prayed for strength, for discipline, and honestly… for deliverance from mys...

ANXIETY IS NOT GOD'S WILL FOR US... PART 1

Image
Since last week, I have been putting off posting here and on Instagram, and the only reason I could think of for this delay or procrastination was ANXIETY. These feelings brought about doubts, fear, and uncertainty. It brought up questions like "what am I even talking about ?", "what if I sound so cringe?", "What if people don't read this post?"  Hello Friends, my name is Ngozi, and welcome to my corner of relatable thoughts , linked to  God's words , which produce  results, and today I am here to tell you that  ANXIETY  IS NOT GOD'S  WILL FOR US. What is ANXIETY? According to the Oxford dictionary, " it is a s tate of uneasiness, accompanied by dysphoria and somatic signs and symptoms of tension, focused on apprehension of possible failure, misfortune, or danger." If I could summarise this, I would say anxiety is a bowl of what-ifs, just like the examples I gave at the beginning: Anxiety = showers of what-ifs. It often comes up in t...

HEY THERE, WELCOME TO MY BLOG

Image
Hello there, I am Ngozi, and welcome. I am delighted to welcome you to my very first blog post. I have always believed that everyone has a story to tell, one that is inspired by experiences, ideas, or thoughts. This space is where I will share mine. So, what can you expect here? Well, a bit of everything from insecurities and awkwardness to fear, and those "waiting seasons" we all go through, and with alignment with God's words, reflections on purpose, and thoughts on embracing our imperfect selves. Basically: "Fumbling through fear, faith, and figuring it out (imperfectly, of course)." Think of this space as a mix of honest reflections, little life lessons, and sometimes just a place to laugh at the chaos. Whether you're here to relate, get inspired, or just see someone navigating life's ups and downs. I am so glad you're along for the ride. Here's to awkward moments, small victories, and figuring it out one step at a time!  Catch you in the nex...
