When Disappointment Tries to Steal Your Day...
Disappointment has a strange way of sneaking into our lives. Sometimes it only takes one moment to completely shift the direction of our day.

Hello friends and family,
Imagine this.
You wake up at 5 a.m. to start your day with God. You begin to pray. You thank Him for a new day, for the past weeks, and for everything He has done, what he is doing, and what he will do.
You ask Him to take charge of your day, to replace negativity with positivity, and to shower you with His blessings. Your day feels peaceful already.
Then you leave for school to write an exam you studied hard for, or you head to work. Everything seems normal until a message appears on your phone, a message you’ve been waiting for. Excited, you open it, but it’s not what you expected.
Instead of running to God first, panic begins to take over. You start making calls, trying to find solutions, trying to fix things yourself.
You sit in class, but your mind is somewhere else. Your thoughts are racing. You’re thinking about the future, about the problem, about what could go wrong, and before you realize it, the peace you had in the morning is gone.
This is how disappointment steals your day. It begins in the mind. It quietly enters your thoughts and starts to grow. Soon, it brings self-doubt, anxiety, and fear of the unknown. Then it becomes physical. It steals your motivation, it discourages you, it drains your energy. Suddenly, your whole day feels ruined. all because the disappointment was allowed to take control instead of being taken to God.
But then something changes. It’s like your mind pauses for a moment… and you remember the prayer you said that morning. You remember the conversation you had with God, and you ask yourself:
“God… what just happened? How did I forget about you so quickly because of this one situation?”
For a moment, you might even feel worse, thinking God is disappointed in you, but then you realize something beautiful.
You are not alone.
You have a living God who loves you deeply. A God who has been waiting for you to come back to Him with your disappointment.
Just like it says:
“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
God was never far away. He was simply waiting for you to bring your worries to Him so He could give you peace. And the amazing thing is this:
It is never too late to return to Him. He is always ready to give hope, mercy, and comfort.
The Scripture below reminds us of this again and again:
Psalm 34:18 – The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.Jeremiah 29:11 – God has plans for our future.
Isaiah 41:10 – Do not fear, for He is with us.
Romans 8:28 – God works all things for good.
2 Corinthians 4:17 – Our struggles are temporary.
Philippians 4:12–13 – Strength comes through Christ.
Colossians 3:2 – Set your mind on things above.
1 Peter 5:10 – God restores and strengthens us.
Revelation 21:4 – One day, there will be no more pain.
John 16:13 – The Spirit guides us into truth.
For a long time, I didn’t realize this. I kept looking for solutions in the wrong places when the real answer was right in front of me all along, God.
So the next time disappointment tries to steal your day, remember this:
Pause, return to God, give him the situation, and let him give you the peace your heart is searching for.
Because sometimes the solution we are desperately looking for... is the one we already have.
May the blessing of God go with you in this new week. Stay safe and catch you on the next post. 🤞😊😉
